Note, Honeywell 20 x 25" air cleaners use two cells.
Assembled with ionizing wires and ready to slide in and use.
Honeywell cells are symmetrical so they can be used with air flow going right or left.
The cell is simply flipped around for the opposite air flow.
The Honeywell FC37A1064 cell can be identified by the part number stamped in to the aluminum. The text Honeywell Residential is stamped in the end facing out and the part number is stamped in to a side edge
We recommend soaking the FC37A1064 collector cells. Soaking cleans better than the dishwasher and cleans better than a pressure washer. The cells typically do not need to be cleaned as often as the prefilters.
After cleaning, inspect the cell plates for dirt, hold the cell up to light. View the plates through the ionizing section to see the dirtiest side. Note that only every other plate captures dirt.
The plates are either charged or grounded. The charged particles are attracted to the grounded plates and repelled by the charged plates. Closely check the grounded plates, where as the charged plates will clean easily.
